Not all stray dogs are lucky to get adopted by kind strangers. This is why this pooch named Phil was one of the most fortunate dogs when he got adopted by a couple. The dog’s story of adoption is somewhat rare because he was passing by the streets of Pennsylvania when the couple saw him.
Danielle Finley and her boyfriend, Jayson, saw the poor pooch wandering on the streets alone. The dog’s condition caught the attention of Finley, so she told her boyfriend to stop the car. When she went near the pooch, Phil might have felt that Finley is there to rescue him.
According to Finley, when she first saw Phil, the dog had almost no hair. This left her heartbroken, so she knew that she needed to do something for the poor Phil. At first, she even mistook the pooch into a raccoon. But when she went near it, it was apparent for Finley that Phil was a dog.
Finley and her boyfriend immediately took Phil to the veterinarian. At the veterinarian, the dog was given food to eat and water to drink. This is to quench somehow the thirst and hunger the dog might be feeling during that time.
The veterinarian then checked on the dog’s injury and treated some wounds. According to the veterinarian, Phil must be between seven to ten years old, based on the dog’s mobility. Since the dog’s condition required advanced treatment, the dog had to stay at the clinic for a few days.
Finley told the veterinarian to do everything to cure the pooch. A few months later, the dog regained some of his hair as well as his weight. This gladdens Finley and her boyfriend because they thought the pooch would not survive. The couple then adopted Finley and introduced him to their three house dogs.
