Poongsan and Jinsoon are two dogs who seem to prefer staying outside their home when it rains. Their parents would try to put them inside their dog houses, but they would resist.
Jinsoon would even go as far as standing on the roof instead of inside the dog house. Poongsan and Jinsoon’s families are next door neighbors. Their parents have always thought that the two dogs enjoy getting wet under the rain.
This is simply not true. They consulted a vet. They were informed that it is not suitable for them to be completely drenched from the rain. It’s also not something most dogs enjoy.
Poongsan’s father created a plastic tent for the canine. This prevented Poongsan of getting wet. Since his father thought that Poongsan enjoyed the rain, he thought the plastic tent was a good idea. Poongsan can see the rain drops without getting wet.
Unfortunately for Jinsoon, his parents were unable to finish the plastic tent. The rain was too heavy for them to finish it. His parents placed a big umbrella to cover him instead.
The umbrella didn’t help. Jinsoon would still choose to stay under the heavy rains. The vet who saw the video of the two dogs again and understood the situation. The doctor said that the dogs were not enjoying the rain at all.
It was a source of discomfort for them. A dog’s hearing is more sensitive than a person’s hearing. When the rain falls, they find it too noisy to stay inside their dog house.
Jinsoon’s parents checked the decibels inside the doghouse and outside of it. The decibels inside the house was too high. It was equivalent to having a big speaker.
That’s the reason why Jinsoon would rather stay outside even if he gets drenched in the rain. His parents then made his house soundproof including the roof. When they did this, Jinsoon started to get inside the house more.
Whenever it rains, he would stay inside and never go out. Jinsoon finally gets the peace and quiet that he always wanted.
