Jason Flatt, the Founder of Friends to the Forlorn, received a call about a Pit Bull chained to a tree just outside an abandoned house in Fulton County, Georgia. The chain was wrapped tightly around the Pit Bull’s neck, and the poor dog cried in both fear and pain.
Jason knew that he had to help the Pit Bull as soon as he saw the struggling little pup’s condition. Jason gave the Pittie some snacks to munch on, and the emaciated dog ate it right away.
Jason cut the chains using bolt cutters as soon as the Pit Bull managed to calm herself down. Jason used a blue leash on the dog and assisted the pup up in his vehicle.
Jason shared with The Dodo that he could not help but tear up every time he remembers the puppy’s screams. The Pit Bull, who was later named Zoe, and her rescuers headed straight to the veterinary after freeing her from chains.
Zoe’s rescuers carried her to the veterinary clinic, where she received a medicated bath from the wounds she sustained on her neck. Jason recalled that Zoe desperately sought attention.
Zoe could not help but lick all the faces of the people she came across as if thanking them for saving her. Zoe kept on wagging her tail the entire time she was with her rescuers.
Zoe went into a foster home and recovered beautifully. Zoe loved snuggling close to her adoptive parents.
One time, Denise came across Zoe’s photo on the internet, and she immediately showed it to her wife. She recalled that Amy first noticed how pretty Zoe’s eyes were, and at that moment, she knew that they were meant to take home Zoe.
Denise and Amy said how perfect Zoe was for their family when they saw how happy the little Pittie was in their home. The couple could not help but gush at how adorable their beloved Zoe was.
