Camp Cocker Rescue rescued a Cocker Spaniel who had a severe case of a spinal cord injury. The poor pup named Violet could not walk, and Violet’s rescuers believe that the dog suffered from blunt trauma.
Violet was sent for physical rehabilitation, and it was the same clinic where she met her mom, Nami. Nami shared that she works as a canine physical therapist, and she was one of the therapists who helped Violet get better.

Nami recalled that Violet was terrified of all the people at the clinic. Nami shared that Violet looked so pitiful because she did not know how to be a dog.
Nami helped Violet get better by making sure that she is always well-taken cared of during the pup’s physical therapy sessions. It took Violet a while before she improved with walking because she kept on stumbling after taking a couple of steps.
Nami shared that treadmill is Violet’s favorite exercise. Nami said that Violet treats per preferred equipment like a treat machine because of how she could not get enough of it.
Nami recalled that it took three months before she was able to start seeing Violet’s progress. Violet eventually got better at walking, and Nami could not be any more proud of how far Violet has come.
Violet started building confidence, and she slowly managed to come out of her shell. Nami shared that Violet has been getting better at walking that she could finally walk for a good 15-30 minutes.
Nami recalled that they started noticing Violet getting frustrated at being confined, so they decided to get her a doggy wheelchair. Violet became happier because she could finally walk at a long distance.
Nami shared that Violet takes shorter walks whenever her colleagues take the pup out for a walk because she always wanted to be next to Nami. Nami eventually decided to adopt Violet because she believes that the dog chose her to be her mom.
