The Asher House is a rescue operation run by a man named Lee Asher. He travels around the globe to meet dogs and help them get adopted. In this episode of his show, The Ruff Life, he helps foster a senior dog.
Lee went to an adoption center at Sacramento to meet the dog he’ll be taking care of. The dog’s name is KC, and she has an unfortunate story. A family once owned her for 14 years. One day when the family decided to move, and they can’t afford to take KC and paying the pet deposit, the family decided to surrender her to a shelter.
Lee went on and took KC and registered his name as the foster parent. While doing so, they came across another dog named Pearl. It usually wasn’t possible for someone to foster two dogs at once. However, Lee was not alone. He was with another person, Sydney, and she registered to be Pearl’s foster parent.
Together, the two of them brought home two dogs from the adoption center. It was an exciting day for everyone involved. While driving, Lee gave his opinion about people who adopt dogs only to put them inside a crate all day long. He thinks there’s no point in adopting a pet if people will neglect them. He made an excellent point.
Lee Asher has a lot of dogs in his house. All of them were very welcoming to newcomers. The atmosphere was very conducive to fostering. Lee was a man dedicated to his mission.
It was terrific to see Pearl get along with the other dogs as well. She took a liking to another chihuahua. KC was well behaved and ate her share of dinner with contentment. Lee wonders why she was kept in a cage even if her eyesight was obviously not that bad. Check out the whole video below.
